Self challenge

On wednesday, I was a guest at the LOKation in Freiburg at the event type Topic:Insights with the topic "Entrepreneurship is what you make out of it!". An open discussion among three entrepreneurs from the cultural and creative industries, without a specific topic. We have guided and controlled the conversation by ourselves. The event was organized by the Center for culture and creativity of the confederation and the Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik und Messe GmbH & Co. KG.

For me, this event was a premiere in several ways, because I was not a guest at such an event before and I never talked in front of about 90 people before. Anyone who knows me knows that free and understandable talking is not necessarily one of my strengths. My last major presentation was held on the 7Hack at the headquarters of ProSiebenSat.1 Media in english, which was not uninteresting and ultimately gave us third place.

With our guests Mareike Kröner, Maja Hafner and Thomas Kekeisen as well as all visitors we would like to discuss the extent to which it is worthwhile in artistic and creative self-employment to leave the abandoned paths, when detours can be extremely effective and what success really means.

Exciting, open conversation

I personally liked the format very much. It has been a lot of fun to share my experiences, which I have gathered in recent years, openly and transparently. The audience understood me well and the conversations with Maja Hafner of Studio Mok and Mareike Kröner of Carla Cargo were very interesting. I also think for us on the stage, the exchange was an exciting experience.

The whole event was filmed and published on Youtube by Fionn Große, who also offers, among other things, wedding photography in Freiburg. Many thanks for that! I attached the video for your follow-up. Have fun!
